Item must be returned within: 7 Days of receipt
Return policy details: Bike City offers a seven working day returns policy, in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
A buyer can inform Bike City of his or her wish to return an item, for any reason, within seven working days after the date on which the buyer received the item.
Provided: (a) the buyer sends the item back to Bike City via a postal service that is insured, recorded (i.e. the post is signed for) and trackable online; and
(b) the item is undamaged and in a fully resaleable condition (defined as: - item is complete with all packaging, item is unused and has all seals and protective covers intact), Bike City will accept this return and refund to the buyer the full purchase price, including all postage costs previously paid by the buyer in connection with the purchase of the item.
Please note: If you have used the item, the packaging or item is incomplete, the item has broken seals or has any protective covers removed then you are not entitled to a refund under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Bike City will not provide a refund for any item lost during the return delivery process.
In relation to returned items that are defective or significantly not as described, Bike City will refund buyers postage costs for returning the items.
In relation to items that are simply unwanted, Bike City will require buyers to return the items at their own expense
Shipping and Handling
Where we offer Free standard delivery,this is for week days only and does not include week ends.
Deliveries to the Highlands and Off shore addresses is not currently available.
When Free Delivery os offered,it only applies if the purchased item is not returned as a Non Warranty return within seven days of receipt.
If the goods are returned as Non Warranty. i.e. you have changed your mind, Bikes-by-mail-order, will apply a delivery charge of £35 for the initial packaging,workshop time and delivery.This amount will be deducted from any refund that you receive.
The customer will be responsible for the cost of, and safe return of, all items to us.Goods will only be accepted in their original packaging and in an unused and re-saleable condition.
Your order for goods is subject to availability. If we are not able to supply the goods to you for any reason after 28 days, we will on request reimburse you for those goods.
However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses, which you may suffer if we do not supply goods.
When our carriers deliver the goods, they will require you to sign for them. If neither you, nor your representative are able to receive the goods, our carrier will leave a card to advise that they will attempt the delivery again,or requesting you to contact them or visit their nearest depot to collect your order.
If they are unable to deliver on the second attempt, you will be charged a further £12.50 for a third and every subsequent attempt. Should this situation arise,we will contact you to collect your payment , the couriers will not release the goods until we have confirmed that payment has been received.
It is our aim to get your goods delivered to you as quickly as possible,and whenever possible within 2 working days. However,we are not offering an express delivery service, and to cover ourselves, we ask that customers allow up to 28 days for delivery for any item requested on the free delivery service.
If you have received any email from us confirming that your goods have been despatched,please let us know by replying to our email,if you have not received your order within 3 working days.
Deliveries are usually made between 8am and 6pm on weekdays.It is not possible to enquire about a delivery until the following day.
Delivery is arranged on your behalf as a courtesy and forms no part of our contract to supply goods within a specified timescale.
Please note, Bikes-by-mail-order do not make any profit from deliveries, and any scheduled services are made as a courtesy on behalf of the customer.
Scheduled delivery forms no part of the purchase contract between the customer and Bikes-bikes-by-mail-order.
Bikes-by-mail-order can not be held liable or responsible for any delay arising as a result of the action of the carrier company.
In effect when a scheduled delivery service is booked, Bikes-by-mail-order acts as your agent in booking the service with the carrier. We do this free of charge as a courtesy.
